Hello, sunshine! Yesterday we prepared almond cashew milk and today we make this sunny smoothie with mango, fresh ginger root, and turmeric with it. Ginger root and turmeric add extra flavor and some spiciness to the drink, plus these roots are also good when you want to save yourself from an upcoming cold. Something you cannot afford today. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Preparing Nut Milk
Makes 2 glasses
Action Time: 5 minutes
150 g frozen mango
1 large banana, sliced
350 ml almond cashew milk (click here for the recipe)
2/3 inch/2 cm fresh ginger root, peeled and chopped
a small thin piece (about 1 inch/ 2-3 cm) fresh turmeric, peeled and chopped
Puree all the ingredients in a blender. Pour in glasses and if you like grate over some extra ginger or turmeric. Enjoy!
Note: Of course you can use store bought nut milk as well, it just doesn’t taste as good and is a little less creamy.
