8 coffee shops + 1 chocolate store in NYC (map included!)

Real good coffee: we can’t live without it. Third wave, made with love, pour-over coffee, coffee as light as tea, any kind. I had my favorite addresses in Berlin for my daily morning shot and will list them another time. The options for a good coffee in NYC are of course endless, so forget about Starbucks and visit one of those beautiful, independent places.

No pictures on our blog this time, but illustrations by Anne van Haasteren, a Dutch and Berlin-based illustrator, instead. Together we worked on a series of DIY journals that travel all over the world. These journals are available in German, English, Swedish, Spanish, and Dutch and even more translations are in the works. The journals contain information about sites, museums, and special places to see. And yes, since I am the editor of the guides: many food and beverage destinations. You can use the journals for coloring, scrapping, writing, whatever you feel like. NYC-coffee-cups2

MAST BROTHERS
And for the best chocolate in town, head to Mast Brothers. I once bought a few bars at Gestalten Shop in Berlin, but buying them here is much better of course. The brothers have shops in London and Los Angeles as well.
